I made some plans. Vague plans, but they're plans. I want to save up for a trip around the world, fly to Australia, to Fiji, Tokyo, Hong Kong, San Francisco and then New York. It's gonna take forever to realize this, but I really want to do it. It seems like such a dream, just flying around the world and seeing everything, total freedom. I also think i'm not mature whatsoever, it would be a great thing for me to do. I'll learn French in the meantime, finish school. I'm really sick of Amsterdam to be honest, I love my city, I do, but it's a village. I want to see more, lots more. I've never travelled outside of Europe.
I also want to save up for a little tattoo on the inside of my wrist. A small, small one. People tend to make such a big deal of tattoos though. Man, it's only a small little drawing on your body. To me it's just a mark of how I feel right now. I feel good, i'm happy. I don't know what I want yet, I'll have a looooooong think about it.
Right now I will continue this easter sunday afternoon, just reading and lazing about. Duty calls tomorrow.

I'd like
I'd like to be a great writer, and write about the things I love. Like Ewan McEwan. I'd like to be a great musician, and play music about life. Just like Leonard Cohen. I'd like to be a real Parisian, and be an elegant cool cat. Like Audrey Tautou. I'd like to be a great painter, and paint the world in a surreal way. Like Marc Chagall, he's been my favourite painter since I was a little girl. The colours he uses, the way he sees the world is just beautiful to me. It's really inspiring.

First day of spring!
It's the moment i've been waiting for: the first day of spring. This was an amazing day, the sun was shining, you could tell people were happier. I definitely felt very cheerful. First, i went to the gym with my friend Ilja. That was lovely. It may sound weird, but i enjoy going to the gym alot. Especially afterwards, at times it feels like going through hell though. After that we had lunch and sat in de sun. Sitting by the water, just enjoying the sunshine and having fun.
Oh, and i'm going to Paris again with Julien, in May! I couldn't be more excited. I love that city, i love my friends there. Life is good, school is good, everything is good. One thing i miss, is reading. I really need to read more books, but I don't make time for it. I will, I want to read Catcher In The Rye. And I want a diana F+.
But most of all, i want the sun to keep on shining, please.

Spring A Ling
YES. I can feel it in the air. The sun is shining consistantly and that makes me happy. I'm making loads of pictures again, I feel like I can do anything.
I went to see Girls at paradiso on sunday, I expected so much of them but they kind of dissapointed me. I still like them, alot, but it wasn't very spectacular. I could even say they were a bit dull. I'm spending this week at a house in De Jordaan though, Julien's watching over a house and a cat of his mum's friend. The location is perfect.

Paris, Je T'aime.
Ok, what I was saying before, so very true. Wow, what an inspiration that city is. I keep on discovering that over and over again. The weather was great too, I got to know new people who were really nice and i bought a really cool book. Facehunters' made a book, the styleblogger. It's so inspirational! Wouldn't that be the greatest job ever? Just travel all over the world, look around and talk to beautiful, interesting people and translate that to pictures. But Paris. I feel so much at home there, like I was born to live there. Only thing is that i don't speak french very great. Small downside, haha. It was especially great to see my dear friends again at woodhaven. I really admire all of them, i kind of envy them at times. Standing on their own feet living the life that seems hard, but free. I know i have absolutely nothing to complain about, but still I feel like that is the kind of life i would like to live soon. I've been thinking about this for over a year now, and i seriously consider moving there for a year, in about a year. What's holding me back? Nothing actually. Not what school's concerned. I can take one, or a hundred years off and then go back to second year. I mean, i'm still so young! And there are people who are sixty attending my school. I'm just saying. Only thing is that i would want to take Julien with me. That would be the best. But one thing at a time, i seem to race into time and wanting to manage everything at the same time. First just finish first year of college, have fun and then see. Pictures will be up soon!

This is out of Facehunter's book. Amazing.

Inspiration with a big I.
I need it. I'm sick of this weather, yesterday was better than it's been in a long time. The cold doesn't even bother me that much, I just don't like the dark, gloomy atmosphere of all this. I just want the sun to shine! I tires me out actually, I don't feel like doing alot. Inspiration is nearby, I can feel it. I will only have to look for it and work for it. Went see Beach House last night in Paradiso, it was SO AMAZING. Took my breath away, It's the best gig i've seen in a long time. Going to Paris on saturday, untill Monday evening. I think that will also help me a bit. I also want to go and see exhibitions, make more pictures than ever and explore things. That's what i'll do! Just wait and see.
Beach House-Walk in the park (Pitchfork Tv)
I wonder why the guitarist takes off his shoes so often. He didn't wear any last night aswell, haha.

Dream
I've been having these great dreams lately. They're all lovely and full of sunshine and beautiful colours. Let's keep it that way, I say. It's also been a long time since I'd last been sleepwalking. I used to sleepwalk very often, and climb out of windows and stuff. A daredevil in the city of dreams.. It's something that has always interested me, dreams.
Oh and i'm going back to my favorite city in two weeks. PARIS! I cannot wait to go back and return to that lovely, lovely city, and see my lovely friends there aswell. It'll only be for 3 days, but well. Going back there for a couple of weeks in the summer with Julien! Which i'm looking forward to already. Spending time there in the sun, with my love and forget about the time.
I'm hoping to make alot of great photos when i'm back there. Such an inspirational place to be.
Also, I would like to introduce the photographer 'Stephan Vanfleteren' to you who read this. (Which i think aren't many, doesn't matter though.)
I've loved it ever since I saw him at 'De Wereld Draait Door'. He seems like such an interesting, intelligent person. His photographs are just amazing, very inspirational.
He shoots black and white portraits mostly. There's just so much depth in every single shot, I admire it alot.

This is just such a calm image. This person doesn't even have to open his eyes to show you his calmth.

Love this, though i can't put my finger on it. It's very mysterious and strange.

Funny snapshot. That's what i find important, too. I don't like people who take themselves, or their work, too seriously. Even if it's hidden humour.

Haha, this is too cute. I think that this is a little boy looking at his photos.

Love the depth in this. Literally.

I really think most people underestimate the art of photography. I think I do. This may sound stupidly pretentious, maybe it is. But in my opinion photography is looking, and interacting with the person you make photos of. People tend to get uncomfortable when there's a camera around. Why do you think I choose to be the photographer? Ha. To truly let someone see their soul, or a true emotion, that's real photography in my eyes.
